Thomas Tuchel 'agrees to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal'

Former Borussia Dortmund boss, Thomas Tuchel has reportedly agreed a deal to replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager.

Arsenal will always have a place in Fabregas' heart, that we can accept, but it's not exactly wise to publicly admit you would be prepared to join them (even just as a coach) when you're still a Chelsea player.

Wenger still has 18 months remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, but reports this weekend claim that Tuchel has begun negotiations with the Gunners over taking on the reins when the long-serving Frenchman decides to step down.

There's no doubting the 44-year-old's talent as a coach, however, and it's easy to see why both Bayern and Arsenal would be interested.

In a wide-ranging Q&A session Fabregas also named his goal in Arsenal's 3-0 victory over Tottenham in 2009 as his favourite during his time at the club.

The 72-year-old praised Tuchel's qualities and publicly urged Bayern to the former Dortmund coach as his successor. He has continued the progression from the youth teams at Mainz. "All the modern elements that are part of today's football were available".

How would Tuchel be received by Arsenal fans?

One particular sticking point might be his relationship with Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat, whom he worked with at Dortmund, where they had a well-documented falling out.
