North Korea Meeting Could Happen in Korean DMZ

Tuesday, 01 May, 2018

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's motorcade may not be as indestructible as Trump's fleet of bombproof "Beast" limousines, but it reportedly offers one feature the US president has to live without: a traveling toilet.

"Kazakhstan as a country that has experience in nuclear disarmament also welcomes the Panmunjom Declaration for the Peace, Prosperity, and Unification on the Korean Peninsula and fully supports the agreement between the two countries on seeking the denuclearization of the peninsula", the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.

United States and North Korean officials are still negotiating the timing and location of the possible summit. You know, I often say, Who knows?

Trump's seemingly conciliatory tone toward the North Korean dictator stands in stark contrast to Trump's comments a year ago about the country's nuclear tests in which he called Kim Jong Un "rocket man". He also acknowledged the poor state of the transportation system in his country, which would have been unimaginable with Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il who had described the North as a socialist paradise.

A meeting between Trump and Kim is now being planned, although the US President has said he is wary about North Korea's approach. "What we need is only peace".

There is a "strong possibility" the summit will be held at the site, with some events possibly scheduled on the northern side of the military demarcation line separating the two countries, according to an official with deep knowledge of North Korea's thinking on the matter.

On Monday, South Korea's president, Moon Jae-in, said he felt the same.

FA apologises to Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur
When it was put to him that he did not seem quite at his best since the injury, Kane said: "I feel good, I feel sharp". The account is run in-house by the FA and the tweet also left senior figures at the organisation furious.

Another gamble: Mo Hurst highlights Raiders' Day 3 of National Football League draft
Hall was taken on the second day of the draft despite not getting invited to the National Football League combine in February. Hurst was listed as the third-best defensive tackle and No. 21 overall prospect in Rob Rang's rankings by NFLDraftScout.com.

Venom's first official trailer shows us what we want to see
Yes indeed, this new trailer shows Venom rather than just Eddie Brock, but not before giving us a little bit of backstory. The character originates from the Spider-Man line of comic books, and was originally introduced in 1984.

But the USA leader's string of bellicose threats directed at Kim and his country - including his vow to rain "fire and fury" on North Korea and to "totally destroy" the country of 25 million people if it threatened the US or its allies - gave rise to global fears of a bloody and possibly nuclear conflict not seen since the days of the Cold War.

Trump is preparing for his own summit with Kim, which he said would take place in the next three to four weeks.

On Monday, Moon suggested that Trump should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, crediting Trump with creating the conditions for North and South Korea to meet.

Now, commentators and others in Seoul think Trump deserves a Nobel Prize for helping start the unexpected peace process unfolding on the divided Korean Peninsula.

As he has said in public, Trump remains insistent he will not be played as the two seek to end the standoff over North Korea's nuclear weapons program.

Previous winners of the Nobel Peace Prize have included Mr Trump's predecessor Barack Obama, Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai and Nelson Mandela.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, who has ran hot and cold toward Trump, said the US leader was a serious contender for the award. "And if it's not going to be fair and reasonable and good, unlike past administrations, I will leave the table".
