Chase Daniel promises to be ready to step in at quarterback for Mitchell Trubisky on Thursday when the Chicago Bears play the Detroit Lions.
Coach Matt Nagy unleashed a fire hose on it Tuesday when he strode into the media room and announced that Mitch Trubisky has a sore right (throwing) shoulder and his status for the Bears' "Turkey Bowl" in Detroit is uncertain.
Chicago Bears backup quarterback Chase Daniel will get the start on Thursday over the injured Mitch Trubisky. Trubisky shredded the Lions a few weeks ago but his injury, coupled with the short week, makes him a very dicey play in fantasy for Week 12.

In just six starts King has defended a pair of passes and picked one off while solidifying himself as a cornerstone in the Packers' secondary in his second year.
What Nagy did say, in response to whether he has any long-term concerns about Trubisky's shoulder was, "No". And for us, we got to make sure in these situations that we're doing the right thing". The two were there together from 2013-2015, and reunited when they both came to the Bears this season. Trubisky is dealing with a shoulder bruise and if it was a Sunday game, he'd probably play.

At 7-3 the Bears are 11/2 games up on the 5-4-1 Vikings, but the time to savor Sunday night's accomplishment already had passed.
"They're not that significantly different", Helfrich said. "When we said, 'Hey listen, this is the route we're going to go, " then he was bummed out.
